  1. Hi fellas, listened to the sach sparber podcast, and others and I really enjoy them. Since ive not been around fb coaching for eons (I’m 70) the verbiage used when you’re talking sets, defenses, coverages, blitzes, offensive systems etc leaves me wandering in the wilderness, so to speak. You’ve made references in past ‘casts about coaches doing the same things year after year “…because we’ve always done it that way.” Coming out of h.s. in Minot, ND in ’65 I went across the street to Minot State College, now University and started yr. one as a right side corner back and substitute running back. We ran a version of the Okie defense w/2 mlbs. The first few games I was really lost out there and thankfully had a def. backs coach who was patient with me.
Our weight room had a few bars etc and the ever popular Nautilus machine because you know too much weight lifting leads to being muscle bound. Sarcasm intended. This is getting long winded isn’t it? Thanks for the references to Mike Aldrich who is now the HC at MSU. I wish him luck and great success. Keep up your great work guys,
    Cordially

  2. Hey coach, thank you very much for the response! I am glad that you are enjoying the podcast’s we love getting to record them! We will make every effort of trying to explain some of the jargon that is used in future episodes. We don’t use any script or any certain questions so we may not always do our best at this but we will make a conscious effort to slow down and dig a little deeper into some of the jargon.

Thanks again for the Response and for Following!!!
